| Drill a 15/16–inch hole close to the bottom of the barrel. Drill as perpendicular to the surface as you can. |
| Screw a 3/4-inch male insert adapter into the hole, and then back out again, to establish threads. |
| Wrap teflon tape around the threads on the outlet and apply Plumber’s Goop over the tape. |
| Screw the outlet back into the hole, being careful to keep it perpendicular to the side of the barrel. Use a wrench if necessary. |
| Apply a ring of Plumber’s Goop around the outlet where it meets the barrel to insure a waterproof seal. Crawl into the barrel and apply goop around the base of the outlet. |
| Choose the best side for the overflow. Drill a 15/16-inch hole near the top of the barrel. Repeat the steps for installing the outlet. |
